These valves are used for a momentary output signal. A signal arrives to the valve, provides an immediate spool shift, delays and then returns.

Spring return spool. When the pilot is exhausted or manual operator removed, the spring returns the spool to the home position.

Detent spool. When the pilot is exhausted or manual operator removed, the valve spool remains in place.
