Pneucon Product Benefits
Pneucon’s product offerings include hundreds of
configurations to meet your specific application, from individual
valves, to multi-layer logic boards, to complete installed systems.
Complete specifications on each of our products are
of course available from Pneucon and will be part of our

Pneucon Valve Materials

1
The aluminum manual override buttons are color coded. If a valve
contains a spring, it will always be on the end of the valve with a blue
end button.
2 Body and end sections of glass filled Noryl for high dimensional
stability and resistance to corrosion, moisture, and impact.
3 A light weight Noryl spool and 1/16" (1.6) maximum spool travel speed
response and minimize wear.
4 Dynamic sealing by Pneucon's patented Tadpole Seals, Buna-N standard.
5 Finger rings to contain dynamic seals and provide maximum flow from
port to port.
6 Static sealing by ‘O’ rings, Buna-N standard.
7 Stainless steel spring clips.
Pneucon’s Patented Tadpole Seal
This patented seal provides Pneucon valves with low
friction sealing over a wide range of temperatures and pressures. The
bearing surfaces of the Tadpole Seal does not slide against its
retaining ring, but actually rolls when the spool first begins to move.
This significantly reduces breakaway friction, reduces valve response
time, and extends cycle life.

In addition, the ‘tail’ of the seal tends to force
the seal away from the spool, outward against the retaining ring.
Pneucon engineers were then able to reduce the amount of ‘squeeze’ on
the seal required to insure tight sealing. Reduced squeeze means even
less breakaway friction. The Tadpole Seal is a unique advantage which
allows Pneucon to build faster, extremely durable pneumatic controls.
